Ireland – Restoration work – Mount Hevey Bog SAC Restoration Works

Restoration works for approximately 54ha in area on Mount Hevey Sac. The Works can be summarised as follows: - Construction of peat dams within existing drains. - Construction of trench bunding with finger bunds on cutover areas. - Installation of plastic PVC overflow pipes and plastic sheet piled weirs where necessary. - Erection of Temporary and Permanent Warning Signs cautioning of danger due to deep water. - Tree Felling where required.
