Tender Description

Supply of Neutral Beam Magnetic Shielding units (expected 2 units, up to a maximum of 3 units). Each system includes 9 resistive magnets and a passive shield composed by iron and carbon steel plates. Supply is based on build to print specification and include manufacturing design, procurement, manufacturing, factory assembly and testing, documentation and shipping to ITER. Typical coil dimension 4mx4m, 3 tons of copper conductor. Overall dimension of one shield is 15m x 5m x 5m, with a mass of 600 tons. Part of the passive shield has also nuclear safety function, being support of the Neutral Beam Vessel, and shall be manufactured according to RCCMR 2007 (support section). Material shall follow ITER requirement on impurities.
