Belgium – Construction work – Framework agreement for trial trench research and various small-scale works

The subject of the assignment is to carry out small-scale works (including adaptation works), among others, at various intersections and short road sections of (mainly) regional roads and highways, but possibly also on municipal roads or near cycle (high)ways. The intended effects can be of various kinds, including increased traffic safety, smoother traffic flow, improvements for vulnerable road users, pilot projects, adaptation of infrastructure due to new private investor developments, etc. Additionally, trial trenches must be carried out to determine the presence and exact location of utility lines (x, y, z coordinates) and to prepare a report of the findings, in accordance with the practical guidelines for works in the vicinity of utility infrastructure in the public domain in Flanders. Finally, the Contractor must also be able to provide materials and equipment to other service providers or operate/process them themselves. The intention is not to use this Assignment solely as a maintenance contract. The services mainly (but not exclusively) include: - Breaking up pavements - Removing vegetation, felling trees - Earthworks - Placing (sub)foundations and pavements - Installing sewers - Management works: including supplying and operating/processing materials and/or equipment - Placing linear elements - Creating trial trenches - Measuring the detected lines (x, y, z coordinates) and reporting in DWG format and photo report - Signaling works and maintaining site signage - Placing permanent signage and traffic signs - Applying road markings - Planting - Maintaining the works during the warranty period - … The Assignment is concluded with one counterparty per lot. The sub-assignments are distinguished between urgent and non-urgent works. Urgent works are those that cannot be postponed due to urgency following a specific event (e.g., due to traffic safety, necessity for maintenance, preserving existing traffic flow, etc.).
