Ireland – Business services: law, marketing, consulting, recruitment, printing and security – Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) for Simultaneous Interpretation Services for Ireland’s 2026 Presidency of the Council of the European Union to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

The key objectives of this PMC for the DFAT are: 1. To establish the nature, structure, and capacity of the market to provide simultaneous interpretation services which may be required for official-level events, meetings and conferences taking place in Ireland during the six-month term of the Presidency. . 2. To improve the DFAT’s knowledge of both the range of suppliers of simultaneous interpretation services in the market and to demonstrate their capacity to provide services for a programme of events at the scale, duration, complexity, and security profile of a typical Presidency of the Council of the EU. 3. To identify any obstacles or risk factors associated with the provision and delivery of simultaneous interpretation services for Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU from 1 July 2026. 4. To gather pricing models information and establish indicative costing methodologies. 5. To make suppliers in the market aware of the possible forthcoming procurement opportunity.
