Iceland – Hydrogen – Preliminary Market Consultiation

Landsvirkjun would like to invite you to take part in our Preliminary Market Consultation(PMC). Landsvirkjun is part of the consortium behind the HYCELAND hydrogen valley project, that was recently awarded a hydrogen valley grant from the EU’s Clean Hydrogen Partnership . The consortium of around 15 members covers the complete hydrogen value chain from hydrogen production through compression, distribution, refuelling and end use. This hydrogen end users in the project will replace part of their diesel consumption in the sectors of heavy-duty road transport (mobility) and asphalt and plaster production (industry) in Iceland with green hydrogen. Landsvirkjun is ideally looking for a turn-key electrolyzer solution where the scope of supply includes all main equipment needed for the operation of a hydrogen production plant. The solution should ideally be able to operate at ambient temperature between -20°C and +30°C, be able to withstand wind loads of up to 25 m/s, be able to withstand snow load of approx. 1 m depth, be able to operate within 1 km distance from the sea and be suitable for seismic action of 1.47 m/s2 with a probability of 0.002. The plant should ideally have a 95% availability and output hydrogen at the purity required for mobility applications.
