Luxembourg – Statistical services – Support to Eurostat in the area of Commercial Real Estate Indicators

The purpose of this call is to support EU Member States and EFTA countries in the ongoing development of CREI and to deliver the first complete Manual on these indicators.In light of recent legislative developments, there is a need to reshape the approach to technical assistance, not only to continue supporting NSIs and NCBs in developing and implementing the CREI as mandated by future legislation, but also to make more efficient use of technical assistance resources, with a view to gradually ensuring their continuous availability beyond contractual limitations. The Manual aims to provide both conceptual and practical guidance to compilers involved in the production of CREI, thereby supporting the development of official statistics in this domain and enhancing international comparability. It will be based on existing drafts of seven chapters, developed under previous contract agreements (the most recent of which ended in February 2025), and will follow a predefined outline consisting of eight chapters in total .
