Ireland – District-heating mains construction work – ATU Galway City Single Party Framework for Works to replace the Heating Distribution Network 2024

The Contracting Authority (ATU) proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a framework agreement. A framework agreement constitutes a means of establishing overall terms and conditions in accordance with which, for a specified duration, individual contracts may or may not be awarded. This competition relates to the establishment of a single-party framework with one Economic Operator. Thereafter that Economic Operator being entitled to be considered for all contracts within the scope of the framework. The Contracting Authority intends to execute a multi-phase project for mechanical, electrical and civils works to include the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and certification for a replacement Heating distribution network between the original Boiler house and the 1972 and 1976 Buildings. The first phase is to address an existing leak on the system while further phases are preventative measures to replace the piping before other leaks occur.
