Ireland – Stakeholders representation services – Biodiversity Climate Change Sectoral Adaptation Plan support

Under Ireland's National Adaptation Framework, a number of Government Departments are required to prepare sectoral adaptation plans (SAPs) in relation to the priority areas they are responsible for. A number of plans for key sectoral areas were prepared and published in 2019, and are now in the process of being renewed and updated. NPWS is responsible for preparing the SAP related to Biodiversity, and must now prepare a new plan for publication in 2025. The purpose of the SAPs is to identify the key risks faced across the sector and the approach being taken to address these risks and build climate resilience for the future. They were developed applying a six-step adaptation planning process described in Sectoral Planning Guidelines for Climate Change Adaptation. The main purpose of this request for tender is to procure expert consultant support to review and update the Climate Change Sectoral Adaptation Plan for Biodiversity.
